Greg Helmkamp
Head Golf Professional
PGA Head Golf Professional, Greg Helmkamp is in his 4th year at South Bend Country Club. Originally from Fort Wayne, IN Greg has been a Class A PGA member since 2012. One of Greg's many passions as a golf professional is tournament operations and his experience in his young career includes being part of the 2019 U.S. Senior Open, held at the Warren Golf Course, where Greg had the opportunity to caddie for the legendary Tom Watson. He was also the tournament director for the 2021 Four Winds Invitational held at South Bend Country Club. This desire to be part of tournament golf is a huge positive for South Bend Country Club members, as they enjoy a diverse mix of competitive and fun tournaments held throughout the year.
Greg's biggest accomplishment is fathering his 3 beautiful children, alongside his wife Katrina. When he is not fulfilling his responsibility has a golf professional, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and catching a Notre Dame football game in the fall.

Kelly Sanderson
Golf Professional
Kelly played Division I golf at Seattle University before beginning her career at Manchester Country Club while finishing her degree. She went on to become a PGA Class A professional, serving at Wellesley Country Club, then as a teaching professional at John’s Island Club, where she and Stephen met. Kelly later became the Director of Instruction at The Creek Club and eventually moved to Pennsylvania to work at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. After settling in South Bend, she worked at South Bend Country Club while coaching high school golf before accepting her current role as Director of Athletics at La Lumiere School. In the summertime, Kelly continues her true passion—teaching lessons and clinics for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Nick Nate
Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course Superintendent Nick Nate has been married to his amazing wife Laura for 12 years and they have two beautiful daughters Katelyn and Ashley. Katelyn is 11 years old, and Ashley is 9 years old. Over his 25 years in the golf industry Nick has been a part of 8 major championships and over 10 PGA tour events. Along with tournaments Nick has worked on the Old Course at St. Andrews and Medinah Country Club. He has always had a passion for the game of golf and loves traveling and playing great golf courses whenever possible. Nick grew up in the South Bend area and went to school at IUSB for business before moving away to attend Rutgers University for Agronomy. Nick has always had a true passion for golf course architecture and one of the many reasons why he loves South Bend Country Club.

Anthony Kleva

Anthony is a graduate of Butler University and is finishing up his first full season at South Bend Country Club. When Anthony is not at the Country Club he enjoys attending and Chicago sporting events and a little time on the ice playing hockey.
