Rutgers Professional Turf Management Program Year 1

I returned back at the beautiful South Bend Country Club in late March and have been

busy ever since. There have been many changes going on the golf course and I would like to

start off by thanking everyone who was part of allowing me to attend my first year at Rutgers

University. The first winter session was a huge success. I attended 22 accelerated classes total

and each two hour session was equal to a regular twelve week class of college. It was a lot of

information and I was very eager to learn as much as I could. My class was a total of 50 men

from all over the world nationally and internationally which explains how well the program is

noted. The program was very intense and I have learned an invaluable amount of information

that makes me have a different outlook at the golf course than I have ever had. I fully applied

myself and earned a 3.9 GPA. I thank you all for the support and I appreciate those who had

asked about me while I was away. I am back in full swing of things outside on the golf course

and can not wait to get some more of these projects done so everyone can enjoy the course as

quickly as mother nature will allow. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Sincerely,

Assistant Superintendent
