Scott Winn joined The South Bend Country Club in early 2011 bringing over 20 years of hospitality experience to the members and their guests at the Club. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Scott was most recently the General Manager of Lake Forest Country Club from 2005-2011. Strong leadership with a hands-on style is the model which the Club’s members and guests will experience for years to come. The Club’s success will be driven from a superior hospitality culture which will encourage members to invest in their club through participation and promoting the Club’s opportunities to the local community. The team of professionals assembled to lead the Club into 2011 and beyond are the best in the business.

Samantha Geyer

Originally from the Northern Chicago Suburbs, she went to the College of Lake County to study Small Business Management, then on to Columbia College Chicago as a dance major. Samantha’s previous work in the Food & Beverage industry comes from 7 years at Lake Forest Academy in their catering department. She moved to Mishawaka in 2005, after getting married to Elliot Geyer. They now have a beautiful baby girl Alexandria. Samantha has been in the Food & Beverage Department at the South Bend Country Club since March, 2010.

Leland Andersen

Chef Leland Andersen has 23 years of culinary experience and recently relocated from Nashville , Tennessee. Leland is a graduate of Purdue University, studying Hotel and Restaurant management, the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, New York. Most recently he was the Chef de Cuisine at Ellendale’s restaurant, a high volume fine dining restaurant in Nashville. He was Executive Chef at several high end European cuisine restaurants in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where his youngest daughter currently lives. Leland also went through the ranks with Rainforest Café to become an Executive Chef at locations in Phoenix, Miami, and Nashville.

Prior to joining the South Bend Country Club team, Christine spent 7 years as a Senior Account Manager for a local radio group. Prior to that she held positions as a Convention Services Manager detailing events for a national hotel chain and as a Restaurant and Banquet Manager for a Chicago based company. As a native of the South Bend area, Christine, her husband Jim, son Jason and dog Clara enjoy gardening, traveling, cooking and entertaining.

Eric Cross
Golf Course Superintendent

Golf Course Superintendent since February 2004. Prior to joining us at South Bend Country Club, Eric worked eight years as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent of Fort Wayne Country Club. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Turfgrass Management from Purdue University in 1995. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, Michiana Golf Course Superintendents Association, Hoosier Turfgrass Association, and Midwest Regional Turf Foundation. Eric and his wife, Shantel, have two sons, Mason and Ryan.

Justin became a part of the South Bend Country Club team in March of 2006. He is a graduate of Methodist College’s Professional Golf Management Program in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Prior experience includes Toftrees Resort, Baltimore Country Club, The Tournament Players Club at Avenel, and Crooked Stick Golf Club.

Jeri joins our team here at South Bend Country Club bringing with her 10 years of experience in the golf industry, as General Manager and Golf Instructor at Brookwood Golf Course in Buchanan, Michigan. Prior to that she was employed for 16 years by the Buchanan Community School System, working in the field of early childhood development.

Ed joined the club in February 2011. He is a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Business Administration. Ed has several years experience in food and beverage operations including 3 years as Business Manager for Pottawattomie Country Club in Michigan City.
